The LM-3 series is the easiest way to communicate DMX through an Ethernet network, as it directly integrates itself in an existing Ethernet network. The system is composed of an Emitter LM-3E and a Receiver LM-3R. The emitter takes DMX and converts to Ethernet LAN signals, while the receiver takes the Ethernet LAN signals and converts them back to DMX. To send and receive both our units use WorkNet, a proprietary protocol that allows multiple DMX universes to exist on the Ethernet LAN while not affecting other signals. Minimal network bandwidth is needed due to the use of the Unicast protocol. These may also be used with standard wireless Ethernet equipment to create a WI-FI system. In addition, the LM-3R receiver can be used to convert others existing ArtNet protocol signals into DMX.
Features:
- LM-3 series is a very economical solution.
- Plug-and-play: Installation is very easy and quick. No network knowledge or configuration is necessary.
- Easily have multiple universes of DMX over existing Ethernet network.
- Easily have multiple receivers in different locations.
LM-3E is a DMX to Ethernet interface that sends DMX signals in an existing Ethernet LAN network. It is preset to easily integrate with no configurations needed with a LM-3R as receiver over a network. However, you can change the IP address manually if necessary. Using a group selector, many LM-3E may be used to transport various DMX universes through the same network.
